Overview
Swindon The Best Connection is recruiting a General Multi-Trade person based in Swindon.
Hours and Pay
8am - 5pm, Monday to Friday.
Pay: £13.50 - £14.50 per hour, depending on experience.
Responsibilities
- Perform basic repairs and maintenance tasks such as fixing doors, windows, drywall, flooring, and fixtures.
- Conduct minor plumbing and electrical repairs, e.g. replacing faucets, light fixtures, sockets.
- Assemble furniture, install appliances, and mount equipment or fittings.
- Carry out painting, decorating, and finishing work.
- Inspect properties and identify maintenance issues or potential safety hazards.
- Source materials and supplies when required.
- Ensure all work complies with health and safety regulations.
Requirements
- Proven experience as a tradesperson, maintenance technician, or similar role.
- Practical knowledge of multiple trades (carpentry, plumbing, electrical, painting, etc.).
- Ability to use hand and power tools safely and effectively.
- Good problem solving skills and attention to detail.
- Physical stamina and ability to lift heavy objects.
- Strong communication and customer service skills.
- Full driving licence.
- Relevant certifications or trade qualifications.
Working Conditions
Work may involve indoor and outdoor environments, working at heights, confined spaces, or varying weather conditions.
