Overview: Learning Support Assistant role supporting pupils across specialist SEN schools in Swindon and surrounding areas. The position involves working with pupils with autism, ADHD, SEMH, and complex learning needs while assisting classroom teachers in general delivery of classwork.

Location & Working Hours:

  • Location: Across Swindon.
  • Working Hours: 08:30 – 15:30.
  • Employment Type: Full and part‑time roles available.

Responsibilities:

  • Providing 1:1 and small group support
  • Supporting pupils with emotional regulation and behaviour
  • Working closely with teachers, SENCOs and therapists
  • Helping create structured, safe and engaging learning environments
  • Encouraging independence and confidence at every step

Qualifications & Experience:

  • Experience working with children or young people with SEND in schools, care, youth work or similar
  • Builds trust naturally
  • Brings patience, resilience and a sense of humour
  • Team Teach or de‑escalation training is a bonus, but not essential
