Our client is a well‑reputed company located in the Swindon area, accessible by public transport, and we are recruiting a Finance Manager for a day‑shift role. Compensation ranges from £15.50 to £17.50 per hour, dependent on experience.
Requirements
- Proven experience in a similar role – ideally in manufacturing, an auditing, or an advisory firm.
- Ability to manage and optimise growing accounting, controlling, and tax processes as the central contact person within the organisation.
- Strong knowledge of accounting principles and procedures.
- Degree in accounting, finance, or a related field.
- Eagerness to grow and to take on more responsibility in the future.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
- Excellent analytical and problem‑solving skills.
- Familiarity with ERP systems such as proAlpha or SAP S/4HANA is preferable.
Hours and Pay
- 8 am – 5 pm, Monday‑Friday, with occasional flexible hours to meet deadlines.
- Pay: £15.50 to £17.50 per hour, depending on experience.
Job Responsibilities
- Oversee all accounting operations including billing, accounts receivable/payable, general ledger, cost accounting, and inventory accounting.
- Prepare timely monthly financial statements and ensure compliance with IFRS and statutory reporting requirements.
- Provide support for the preparation of budgets and financial forecasts, report variances, and analyse financial data to support decision‑making.
- Coordinate and oversee the preparation of tax returns.
- Develop and document business processes and accounting policies to maintain and strengthen internal controls.
- Coordinate and oversee external audits and provide necessary documentation and explanations to auditors.
- Ensure compliance with all financial regulations and standards, and support month‑end and year‑end close processes.
