GR Employment Ltd is recruiting for a Courier Driver on behalf of one of our customers in Swindon, Dorcan Industrial Estate. The successful candidate will be responsible for the daily delivery and collection of shipments to and from customers. This role is essential in upholding the company’s values and ethos, delivering service with speed, passion, and a can-do attitude. You will be expected to provide excellent customer service, demonstrating flexibility and the ability to work well under pressure. We’re looking for reliable and enthusiastic individuals to join our team. This is a great opportunity for someone seeking consistent work with a bit of flexibility built in.

Shift Pattern

  • Monday to Friday 8 AM start time, with optional overtime on Saturday 8 AM to 12 PM.
  • 30 minutes unpaid break.

Hourly Rate: £14.73 per hour.

Shift Premium: Extra £2.80 per hour after 7 PM.

Saturday Premium: Extra £1.22 per hour.

Sunday Premium: Extra £2.27 per hour.

Responsibilities

  • Daily delivery and collection of shipments to and from customers.
  • Carry out all tasks with a strong customer-focused approach.
  • Make sound decisions and perform effectively under pressure.
  • Maintain excellent planning and organisational skills to prioritise tasks and meet customer expectations.
  • Scan shipments and work quickly and efficiently to meet warehouse deadlines.
  • Support the business by occasionally covering alternative routes when required.

Qualifications

  • Full UK driving licence.
  • Experience in a multi-drop courier role.
  • Security training will be provided when required.
  • Minimum age 21 and no more than nine penalty points on the driving licence within the last three years.
  • Security checks, including a five-year employment/education history verification and a UK criminal record check, will be required for this role.
