Clinical Applications Analyst for Shared EPR - 18 Month Fixed Term / Secondment. This role supports the delivery and smooth running of the Patient Administration System (PAS) and other core clinical and business systems as part of the BSW Group’s shared Electronic Patient Record (EPR) programme.
Working within one of the three Trusts – Great Western Hospital (GWH), Royal United Hospitals Bath (RUH) or Salisbury Foundation Trust (SFT) – the postholder will help maintain and administer Cerner Millennium PAS alongside key systems such as pathology, radiology, pharmacy and legacy applications. The position plays an important part in ensuring that digital systems operate reliably, data quality is maintained, and clinical and operational teams receive timely support.
The postholder will manage day‑to‑day administration of the PAS, particularly the development and maintenance of clinic schedules within Cerner Millennium. This includes ensuring accurate integration with national and local systems such as the eReferral Service for GP referrals and DrDoctor for appointment reminders and electronic patient letters. They will handle service requests, troubleshoot system issues and apply standard operating procedures to resolve problems efficiently while maintaining high data quality.
Working independently but within established processes, the role involves supporting users across the Trust, making changes to clinic templates, updating letter formats and ensuring system configuration meets operational needs. The postholder will also contribute to the wider EPR programme by supporting the smooth running of core systems and helping ensure that digital workflows remain accurate, reliable and aligned with clinical and administrative requirements.
