Our client, a franchise-approved commercial vehicle business in Swansea, is seeking a qualified Van Technician to join their busy fleet workshop.
The successful Van Technician will play a vital role in delivering high-quality service and maintenance for light commercial vehicles.
- Competitive starting salary from £20 per hour, equating to a basic annual wage of £42,000
- Access to an annual commitment bonus of approximately £600
- Profit share bonus scheme based on the company's annual performance, with payments of £700 per person in 2024
- Overtime paid at time and a half, subject to availability - 23 days annual leave plus Christmas and New Year off; bank holidays to be worked as required

- Opportunity to work on an essential fleet, maintaining a well-regarded product - 4 on, 4 off shift pattern, working hours from 6am to 6pm Duties:
- Complete all light commercial vehicle service and maintenance work to the highest standards within manufacturer timeframes
- Conduct comprehensive diagnosis and repairs on light commercial vehicles
- Support colleagues with technical issues and innovative solutions as the Van Technician
- Ensure all diagnostic, repair, servicing, and safety inspection documentation is accurately completed
- Adhere to company policies and procedures at all times
- Provide excellent customer service and support to retain client loyalty
- Maintain a high standard of work in a fast-paced, franchise-approved environment
- Requirements for the Van Technician position:
- Live within a reasonable commuting distance of Swansea
- Hold a UK-driving licence with minimal points
- Qualification to IMI/NVQ Level 3 or equivalent in Light or Heavy Vehicle Maintenance and Repair
- Practical post-qualification experience working with light commercial vehicles
- Individuals with a background in car-based workshops, particularly with vans, will also be considered
- Strong team player with a commitment to producing high-quality work
- Motivated to meet team targets and contribute to continuous improvement
