This is a private client role (not a Swansea City Council job). A private client requiring a Personal Assistant (PA) who will support with personal care and accompany activities in the community. Location and full details to be confirmed with the employer.
Responsibilities
- Provide personal care as required.
- Be a calm and supportive presence when the client becomes overwhelmed or has challenging behaviours.
- Drive to support adventures and activities, including singing along to music during journeys.
- Support going out in the community and attending planned activities.
- Be dependable, arrive on time, and maintain a friendly, easy-going manner.
- Respect and understand the importance of privacy and confidentiality.
- Be adaptable and flexible, and provide support without taking over.
- Have appropriate business insurance on your vehicle to transport clients when required.
Requirements
- Experience in this line of work, with the ability to provide personal care and support in a respectful manner.
- Must be able to drive (vehicle/insurance may be required for client transport).
- Willingness to participate in a DBS check prior to commencement. Costs of DBS processing may be covered by the employer where eligible.

Position Details
- Hours of work: Alternate Saturdays/Sundays for 5–6 hours.
- Rate of pay: £13.13 per hour.
- Trial period: Six-month probationary period.
- Salary paid monthly; annual leave calculated on a pro rata basis.
