The Senior Data Architect will lead the development of a sustainable data architecture service within DVSA, driving the organisation towards a data‑led approach. Key responsibilities include maximizing value from agency data, implementing standards and patterns, assisting the Head of Data Management in strategy formation, establishing governance, and documenting data requirements and flows.
Key Responsibilities:
- Define the data architecture framework, models, standards, patterns, and principles across DVSA.
- Develop a data catalogue to document data used throughout the organisation.
- Translate service and business requirements into documented data requirements and flows.
- Assist in developing the DVSA data strategy, roadmap, governance, and management artefacts.
- Develop data measurement initiatives for data condition and remediation.
- Work closely with EA, Security, Dynamics, Business Architects and other stakeholders to articulate architectural designs and implementation.

- £57,515 per year with an additional Government Digital and Data Profession allowance up to £24,915.
