This is a permanent role for a Female Support Worker to assist an individual with cerebral palsy in Swansea. The role involves providing 20 hours of care per week, supporting personal care, physiotherapy, and facilitating activities to promote well-being and independence.

Responsibilities:

  • Assist with personal and therapeutic care.
  • Support wheelchair transfers and 2:1 support as required.
  • Facilitate social and leisure activities.
  • Assist with driving to appointments and outings.
  • Provide compassionate, person-centred support throughout the day.

Qualifications & Requirements:

  • Valid driver’s licence and ability to drive an adapted vehicle.
  • Experience in care, preferably supporting individuals with cerebral palsy or physical disabilities.
  • Experience supporting people with communication difficulties.
  • Strong teamwork skills.
  • Willingness to register with Social Care Wales.
  • Enhanced DBS check.
