Overview

  • Contract: Permanent
  • Location: Pontardulais, Swansea
  • Hours: 14 hours per week (Day hours 2 x 7 hour shifts)
  • Working pattern: 12pm to 7pm (Days flexible, to be discussed at interview)
  • Pay: £14.42 per hour (Weekdays, 12pm to 7pm)
  • Closing date: 3rd March 2026

This support role is to assist a young man with cerebral palsy and epilepsy in his day-to-day life.

Role responsibilities

  • You will play a key part in helping ensure his care and health needs are met whilst helping to develop day-to-day activities.
  • You will be warm, patient and reliable, to encourage and support him to access opportunities and maximise his quality of life.
  • This includes supporting him to use his hydrotherapy pool and to attend activities such as going to the garden, the hydro pool, the ski centre in Pembrey, and watching football matches with his support.

Qualifications and requirements

  • Be able to drive and have use of a car
  • Drive the family vehicle
  • Experience of supporting a person with a birth injury such as cerebral palsy
  • Enjoy working as part of a team
  • This role is subject to an Enhanced-level DBS check
