If you're a recent psychology graduate with a passion for supporting young people, this role could be the perfect first step into education. We are seeking a committed and empathetic Teaching Assistant to join a specialist school supporting pupils with SEND and SEMH needs. You will play a key role in helping students engage with their learning, build positive relationships, and develop the skills they need to succeed.
What you will be doing:
- Providing 1:1 and small group support for pupils with additional needs
- Working closely with teachers, SENCOs, and therapists to create supportive routines
- Using your psychology knowledge to help children manage emotions and behaviour
- Creating a safe, structured environment where every child can thrive
We are looking for:
- A psychology graduate (or similar field) keen to apply knowledge in a practical, rewarding way
- Someone with empathy, patience, and a calm approach
- Experience working with children or young people (voluntary or paid) is desirable
- A genuine interest in SEND, mental health, and child development
