We're recruiting enthusiastic and compassionate Teaching Assistants to support Primary Schools across Swansea, Llanelli, Carmarthenshire, Ammanford, Burry Port, Carmarthen and surrounding areas from September. This isn't just another classroom support role. If you have experience in care, social care, support work, sports coaching, youth work, childcare, residential care, mentoring or community-based roles, your skills are highly transferable and schools want to hear from you.

What Will You Be Doing?

As a Teaching Assistant, you'll work alongside teachers and ALN staff to support pupils within Primary Schools. Your responsibilities may include:

  • Providing one‑to‑one support for individual pupils
  • Supporting children within small intervention groups
  • Encouraging engagement and participation in lessons
  • Helping pupils develop confidence, independence and social skills
  • Supporting emotional regulation and positive behaviour strategies
  • Assisting with classroom activities and learning resources
  • Building positive relationships with pupils, staff and families – No two days are the same, making this a rewarding and varied role.
Additional Learning Needs (ALN) Experience Welcome

A large proportion of our vacancies involve supporting children with Additional Learning Needs (ALN). You may work with pupils who have:

  • ADHD
  • Speech and Language Difficulties
  • Social, Emotional and Mental Health Needs (SEMH)
  • Global Developmental Delay
  • Down Syndrome

  • Behavioural and Emotional Needs
  • Anxiety and Attachment Difficulties

Previous ALN experience is highly desirable, but we also welcome applicants with transferable experience supporting children or vulnerable individuals.
