We are looking for a Cleaner to join our team at Hazel Court, Swansea. This is a part time permanent position for 26 hours per week offering £12.60 per hour. You’ll play a vital role in keeping our communal areas spotless and ensuring a safe, secure environment for residents. Responsibilities
- Clean and maintain communal areas (sweeping, mopping, vacuuming, dusting, restroom cleaning).
- Handle waste disposal and replenish supplies.
- Maintain high safety and cleanliness standards and ensure a safe living environment.
- Carry out fire safety checks and report any issues promptly.
- Work independently during night shifts and liaise with on-call staff when needed.
- Occasionally act as a Night Concierge covering annual leave and sickness.
- Ensure building security by patrolling premises, monitoring access points, and responding to emergencies.
- Shifts include evenings, weekends, and bank holidays; flexibility is key. Shifts vary between 7am–7pm, with occasional Night Concierge shifts typically 10pm–7am.
About you
- Good verbal communication.
- Able to work independently and as part of a team; use your own initiative.
- Flexible approach to working hours; shifts include evenings, weekends, and bank holidays.
- Demonstrate values in attitude and behaviours towards colleagues, tenants, and stakeholders (Kind, Trusting, Accountable, Innovative).
- Previous experience in Caretaker, Housekeeper, Custodian, Security Officer, Facilities Assistant, Janitor, or related roles with transferable skills is welcome.
