- Acting on actioned tests results from GPs
- Filing, scanning and retrieving paperwork
- Scanning of letters and relevant correspondence into patients notes
- Coding information into the Practice clinical system within the patients medical records
- Summarisation of incoming patient medical record notes
- Processing and distributing incoming (and outgoing) mail
- Forwarding patients medical records on to new registered GPs
- Processing repeat prescriptions from the NHS Wales App in accordance with practice guidelines
- Computer data entry processing and recording information in accordance with practice procedures
- Receive and make telephone calls as required
- Divert calls and take messages, ensuring accuracy of detail and prompt appropriate delivery
- Undertake any other additional duties appropriate to the post as requested by the Supervisor, Senior Management Team or Partners
- Receptionist duties during annual leave and sickness absence
- Attend mandatory training required to fulfil role as a medical receptionist
