Hours: 20 & 30 hour contract

Shift Times: 21:00 - 07:00

Shaw healthcare is looking for a passionate and caring person who is ready to make a positive impact at Cartref. Cartref is a care home in Hay-on-Wye, specialising in dementia care. The facility offers a comfortable, supportive environment with personalised care tailored to the needs of each resident. It focuses on providing high-quality care in a homely setting, ensuring that residents feel safe and well-cared for. The home also features communal spaces and activities designed to enhance the well-being and social engagement of its residents.

Job Responsibilities

As a Support Worker you will be responsible for promoting physical and emotional support to our lovely service users. This will include, but not limited to:

  • Providing person-centred care in line with an individual’s care plan
  • Offering personal care, which includes assistance with bathing, dressing and hygiene
  • Maintaining accurate documentation of care delivered, including fluid/food intake, activities and incidents
  • Promoting dignity, choice and inclusion
  • Working collaboratively as part of a team and supporting your colleagues in day-to-day duties
  • Maintaining a safe, happy, and caring environment
