About the Role: We have an exciting opportunity to join an experienced and versatile team, delivering first‑class services to our world‑class Armed Forces personnel. Based at MOD Lyneham, this role is primarily office‑based and will suit a customer‑focused professional with the drive to deliver an excellent service. As a Stores Supervisor, you will lead a small team and take responsibility for the effective control of stored items, ensuring optimum availability to support the military community on site. Training can be provided where appropriate.
Key Responsibilities
- Act as the lead Subject Matter Expert for the assigned area of stores responsibility, including: Supply Control Accounting Flight (SCAF) Clothing Stores
- Promote best practice and deliver the contracted service to the required quality standards and agreed service levels.
- Complete internal checks, controls, and ensure full compliance with Defence Logistics Framework (DLF) policy.
- Support the development of the delivery team, driving optimised performance and taking timely action to mitigate risk or potential service failure.
- Maintain stock levels for specialist stores and clothing, carrying out stocktaking and ensuring compliance checks are completed accurately.
- Review deliveries against invoices, identify discrepancies, replenish stock, and update records accordingly.
- Develop and maintain effective working relationships with all stakeholders, promoting customer service excellence at all times.
- Actively promote a safe working culture, adhering to all Health and Safety regulations.
