Shifts on offer: 2 shifts a week between Monday-Sunday: 07:30-19:30

About the Role

Sugarman Health and Wellbeing are looking for a Healthcare Assistant within the Sturminster Newton area who can support a female Service User who requires support with manual handling due to being a wheelchair user and other complex care needs.

Responsibilities

Our Healthcare Assistant roles are also doubled up as a companionship role by building up key relationships and promoting independence through daily tasks for our service user within her own home environment and especially within the community. Activities will include domestic tasks, moving & handling and personal care; but most importantly, suggesting new ideas and opportunities that serve the service user's best interests, by going above and beyond. You will need to communicate with our service users effectively and appropriately, whilst also giving them the opportunity to communicate their needs as well.

Requirements for the Role

  • A minimum of 6 months of professional UK Care experience.
  • Complex Care experience preferred but not a mandatory need.
  • To provide the correct compliance documents including updated Right to Work and original DBS certificate.
  • Must be a Driver holding a Full UK Driving License, due to the location and accessibility of public transport.
