About the Role

This is a challenging but highly rewarding role. You’ll be supporting pupils with a range of Additional Learning Needs, who may display challenging behaviour, struggle with emotional regulation, or require consistent 1:1 and small group support throughout the school day.

Responsibilities

  • Remain calm under pressure
  • Think on their feet
  • Use initiative and strong behaviour management strategies
  • Build trusting relationships with pupils
  • Support both academic and emotional development

Qualifications & Experience

  • Experience supporting children with ALN and challenging behaviour
  • Experience working in schools, specialist provisions, or similar settings
  • A valid DBS on the updated service or willingness to obtain one
  • Strong communication and teamwork skills
  • A proactive, resilient, and confident attitude
  • A genuine passion for helping young people succeed
