We are recruiting an SEN Primary Teacher to join a well-regarded specialist school in Trafford for the September 2024 term. The school provides a welcoming and supportive environment for pupils aged 4-11 with a range of special educational needs: SEMH, SLCN, and other needs.
As an SEN Primary Teacher, you will deliver creative, tailored lessons that meet the diverse needs of your pupils while fostering a safe, engaging learning environment.
Key Responsibilities- Plan and deliver differentiated lessons aligned with individual learning needs.
- Create a positive, structured classroom environment that supports behaviour and engagement.
- Work closely with teaching assistants and specialist staff.
- Monitor and assess pupil progress, adapting teaching strategies accordingly.
- Build strong relationships with pupils, parents, and staff.
- Support pupils' emotional wellbeing alongside their academic development.
- Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) or equivalent (essential).
- Experience working with primary-aged pupils, ideally within an SEN setting.
- Understanding of ASC, SEMH or communication needs.
- Patient, resilient, and compassionate approach.
- Strong classroom management and communication skills.
