Millfield School is seeking a Finance Assistant to join our busy Fees team, playing an important role in supporting accounts receivable activities and delivering a high standard of service to parents and colleagues.
Responsibilities
- Assist with processing fee payments, invoices and refunds accurately and efficiently.
- Monitor outstanding balances and support the timely collection of payments.
- Maintain accurate records on finance systems and spreadsheets, including Excel.
- Respond professionally to enquiries from parents via phone and email.
- Support the team with termly billing, installment plans and general finance administration.
- Assist with debt monitoring and other routine finance and office duties as required.
Qualifications
- Previous experience in a finance, accounts or administrative role.
- Strong numeracy skills with excellent attention to detail.
- Confident using Excel and financial systems.
- Highly organised, able to work under pressure and manage competing priorities.
- A proactive team player who can also work effectively on their own initiative.
- Clear and professional communication skills, both written and verbal.
Working Hours and Salary
Office‑based, year‑round role working 9:00am to 5:00pm, Monday to Friday. The salary is up to £25,000 per annum, depending on experience, along with an excellent benefits package.
