Prospero Teaching is recruiting an experienced 1:1 Tutor in Staffordshire, ideally with experience within a SEN setting.

Responsibilities

  • Provide 1:1 tutoring in Maths, English, and Science to vulnerable pupils outside mainstream education.
  • Create and deliver learning plans, adopt a therapeutic approach where necessary, support structure in daily routine and continue educational development.
  • Submit weekly reports to track progression.

Working Hours & Pay

  • Location: community or pupils home in Staffordshire
  • Part-time, ongoing support, hours 8 am to 4 pm
  • Pay: GBP 25 per hour

Qualifications & Experience

  • Right to work in the UK
  • Enhanced DBS on the Update Service
  • Overseas police check if applicable
  • Minimum two years of professional references
  • QTS or equivalent tutoring experience
  • Experience working within a SEN setting (preferred but not required)

Additional Information

Sessions typically last 1–4 hours, usually during school daytime hours, with occasional after-school or evening sessions possible.
