We are recruiting for a Customer Service Order Processor to join a supportive and fast-paced team based in Stone. This is an excellent opportunity for an experienced customer service professional who enjoys taking ownership, supporting others, and playing a key role in delivering a high-quality customer experience.
As a Customer Service Order Processor, you will be responsible for ensuring customer orders and enquiries are handled accurately, efficiently, and within agreed timescales. You will act as a key point of support within the team, helping to maintain strong operational performance while also guiding and supporting colleagues. This role would suit someone who is confident, proactive, and passionate about improving processes and delivering exceptional service.
Key Responsibilities:- Processing customer orders accurately and ensuring all requests are completed within agreed SLAs.
- Supporting day-to-day operations within the Customer Experience team to maintain strong performance and service levels.
- Acting as a point of contact for internal and external customers, ensuring clear and timely communication.
- Spending a portion of time actively processing orders and supporting core order management activities.
- Monitoring and maintaining order backlog reports to ensure efficiency and accuracy.
- Ensuring compliance with export regulations and internal quality standards, escalating issues where required.
- Answering customer calls within agreed response times and delivering a high standard of service.
- Conducting quality checks on team members’ work and providing constructive feedback.
- Supporting escalation management, ensuring customer issues are resolved appropriately and efficiently.
- Identifying opportunities for improvement and supporting coaching and development within the team.
- Working closely with internal departments including Sales, Operations, Finance, Quality, and Pricing.
- Acting as a subject matter expert and supporting the Customer Experience Manager in driving continuous improvement.
- Previous experience in customer service, order processing, or a similar role.
- Strong communication skills with the ability to interact confidently at all levels.
- Excellent attention to detail and accuracy in a fast-paced environment.
- Strong organisational and time management skills.
- Experience using Microsoft Office, particularly Outlook and Excel.
- A proactive and flexible approach with the ability to manage multiple priorities.
- Confidence in making decisions and taking ownership of tasks.
- Experience supporting or mentoring colleagues would be highly beneficial.
- Experience with Microsoft Dynamics 365 Business Central is desirable, with full training provided.
