We are recruiting for a Customer Order Processor to join a friendly and fast-paced team based in Stone. This is a fantastic opportunity for someone who enjoys delivering excellent customer service and takes pride in accurate, timely order processing within a busy commercial environment. As a Customer Order Processor, you will play a key role in ensuring customer orders and enquiries are handled efficiently from start to finish. You will work closely with internal teams and external customers to make sure all orders are processed correctly, queries are resolved quickly, and communication remains clear and professional at all times. This Customer Order Processor role would suit someone who is organised, detail-focused, and confident communicating with people at all levels.
Key Responsibilities
- Processing customer orders accurately and within agreed timeframes using internal systems
- Managing and monitoring shared customer service mailboxes throughout the day
- Responding to customer enquiries via phone and email in a timely and professional manner
- Liaising with internal departments including Sales, Operations, Finance, Quality, and Service teams
- Providing customers with updates on orders, deliveries, and any changes or delays
- Ensuring all documentation requests are completed accurately and efficiently
- Taking ownership of customer queries and ensuring they are resolved effectively
- Escalating complaints or complex issues to the appropriate manager when required
- Supporting compliance processes and ensuring all work meets required quality standards
- Contributing to continuous improvement of the customer journey and service delivery
What We’re Looking For
- Previous experience in customer service, administration, or order processing
- Strong communication skills, both written and verbal
- Excellent attention to detail and accuracy
- Good organisational skills with the ability to manage a busy workload
- Confidence using Microsoft Office applications
- A proactive, flexible, and team-oriented approach
- GCSE Maths and English (or equivalent) at Grade C or above
- Experience with Microsoft Dynamics 365 Business Central is beneficial, but full training will be provided
