About this job

Must be able to work effectively as part of a team, and as an autonomous practitioner managing your own caseload of patients.

Will undertake nurse-led clinics including patient assessment and the provision of information and preparation for those undergoing endoscopic or radiological investigation.

The role requires communication and close collaboration with the wider multi-disciplinary team and support the Inequality work within trust and community settings.

Excellent communication skills to convey delicate and complex information to both patients and colleagues, including breaking significant news post MDT prior to handover of care.

Post holder will help meet the Trust and Bowel Cancer Screening Programme and national targets.

Required to undertake training in the use of the Bowel Cancer Screening IT system and complete and pass the mandatory NHS BCSP Bowel Cancer Screening Practitioner Programme, which may require studying away from home.

Full preceptorship and training will be provided to fulfil the requirements of the role.
