Due to a significant increase in demand for specialist 1-2-1 tuition across the local area, there are frequent opportunities available for dedicated SEND Tutors looking for flexible, rewarding and well-paid work.

The successful SEND Tutor will work with students on a 1-2-1 basis, either in the home, local community settings or online, supporting young people with a range of additional needs including Autism / ASD, ADHD, Dyslexia and SEMH. This role is ideal for a SEND Tutor who thrives in a personalised learning environment and enjoys building confidence, engagement and academic progress through tailored support.

Tuition opportunities are available across core subjects including Maths, English and Science, with both part-time and full-time roles available due to the continued high demand across Stoke-on-Trent.

Requirements

  • Experience working with children or young people with SEND in a 1-2‑1 or small group setting
  • Experience supporting core subjects such as Maths, English or Science
  • A strong understanding of additional needs including Autism / ASD, ADHD, Dyslexia and SEMH
  • The ability to adapt learning approaches to suit individual student needs
  • Excellent communication and relationship building skills
  • An enhanced DBS on the update service or willingness to obtain one
