We are urgently looking to appoint a passionate and knowledgeable Maths Lecturer who will deliver GCSE and Functional Skills Maths to learners aged 16. The role involves planning engaging lessons that inspire progression and achievement, and supporting students to overcome barriers to learning, raise attainment levels and prepare confidently for exams and future employment opportunities.
Key responsibilities include:
- Delivering lessons in GCSE and Functional Skills Maths.
- Planning creative, differentiated lessons that engage post-16 learners.
- Implementing effective classroom management and learner engagement strategies.
- Supporting students to achieve their learning goals and improve outcomes.
Required qualifications and skills:
- A relevant teaching qualification such as PGCE, Cert Ed or equivalent.
- Experience delivering GCSE and/or Functional Skills Maths within a further education setting.
- Strong subject knowledge and a genuine passion for Maths education.
- Excellent classroom management and learner engagement skills.
- The ability to plan and deliver creative, differentiated lessons.
- Positive, resilient and adaptable approach to teaching and learning.
