Relief Logistics Security Officer

Pay rate: £12.60 ph. Various shifts: 12 hours (day and night shifts to be discussed at interview).

Job Overview

Mitie is looking for a Relief Logistics Security Officer who can deliver exceptional customer service whilst creating a safe environment, free from the fear of crime for visitors and colleagues.

Qualifications

  • It is preferable that you hold a current SIA licence or SIA Certificates (but training for a licence can be provided in some circumstances).
  • Vetting: It is vital that you have a full 5‑year checkable employment/education history; failure to do so could mean your offer will be withdrawn or your employment stopped.

Main duties

  • Deliver industry‑leading customer service
  • Conduct patrols of the depot
  • Provide a visible security contact for colleagues, contractors, and visitors
  • Utilise CCTV systems to support the reduction of crime and stock loss
  • Liaise with the depot management teams
  • Deter theft, whether internal and/or external, and other poor working practices
  • Conduct searches (to be discussed at interview)
  • Respond to any on‑site incident or request for assistance and assume control until the arrival of the Client, Emergency Services or Depot Duty Manager
  • Highlight all breaches of security procedures including internal and external crime
  • Support with access and egress to and from the site as required by the installed systems
  • Gatehouse duties, including booking in vehicles and supporting the transport operation (to be discussed at interview)
  • Must have a reasonable level of PC skills
