Are you a merchandiser or do you work in retail and are looking for the next step in your career? Do you have a passion for managing people? We're looking for a Merchandising Team Leader based in your area. You'll be an integral part of a field-based retail merchandising team, working in a range of high street retailers on behalf of exciting household name brands. We work across a variety of categories including: Books and Entertainment, Fashion, Grocery, Health and Beauty, Beers, Wines and Spirits, and Toys.

About the role:

  • Working Hours: A minimum of 30 per week - 18 hours for team supervisory tasks and 12 hours for client merchandising
  • Rate: Team supervisory tasks at £13.50 per hour and merchandising tasks at £12.71 per hour
  • Ideal recruitment area: ST3 Must be able to drive and cover across their district Postcodes ST, TF & CW with a base in and around Stoke/Longton area.

How you'll deliver excellence:

  • Team Leadership: You'll oversee day-to-day activity in your district, making sure all work is completed on time and to the standards agreed with our clients. You'll manage and arrange merchandiser schedules for your district. You'll support recruitment and onboarding for your district. You'll train, support, and guide merchandisers so they're confident and capable in their roles. You'll give regular feedback by celebrating great work and addressing any performance concerns early. You'll be the main point of contact for your district and share timely updates through our feedback tools.
  • Compliance & Standards: You'll make sure everyone follows the correct processes, standards, and safety guidelines. You'll ensure plans and schedules are accurate, realistic, and aligned with wider regional priorities. You'll maintain strong admin standards and accurate data in all systems.
  • Merchandising: You'll ensure all merchandising and in-store activity is completed correctly, following briefs and planograms where provided. You'll ensure displays, products, and POS materials are set up properly and look great for customers.
  • Other Duties: You'll build positive relationships with store managers, in-store teams, and internal support teams. You'll support new initiatives and help your team adapt to new ways of working. You'll look for opportunities to improve processes, execution quality, and the overall colleague experience.
