Your Role: Join Stockport’s Leaving Care Service and play a key role in supporting care experienced young people. As a Senior Intensive Support Worker, you’ll lead by example by providing trauma informed, relationship-based support while also offering practice guidance and case supervision to Intensive Support Workers and Progression Coaches. You’ll hold a small complex caseload, offering flexible crisis and developmental support, and work closely with Staying Close to ensure young people feel safe, empowered and connected. You’ll coordinate multi-agency plans, champion reflective practice, and help young people build the skills, stability and confidence they need for adulthood.
About You: We are looking for someone who has Stockport Family values: putting people first, working collaboratively, showing ambition and creativity, and treating everyone with respect. You should have experience supporting care experienced young people in a trauma informed, relational way, along with the ability to provide supervision, guidance and emotionally safe spaces. Strong multi-agency skills, excellent communication, and confidence in crisis are essential. You will bring knowledge of care leaver legislation, reflective and resilient practice, a Social Work qualification, and a full driving licence.
