About the Role
We are looking for a compassionate and motivated School Support Worker to join our dedicated team at Reddish Hall School. This role is more than a job—it’s an opportunity to make a genuine difference every single day.
Responsibilities
- Implement Individualised Education Plans (IEPs) and provide tailored support for students with Special Educational Needs (SEN).
- Contribute to the school’s safeguarding culture by following all safeguarding policies and procedures.
- Deliver structured learning activities and programmes, adjusting to student needs and providing feedback to teaching staff.
- Support the use of ICT to develop students’ independence and digital competence.
- Build constructive relationships with parents/carers and share relevant information with the wider staff team.
- Promote inclusion, acceptance, and equal opportunities for all students.
- Supervise students during transitions and unstructured times.
- Assist in developing and applying behaviour management strategies.
- Actively contribute to the ethos, aims, and overall work of the school.
Qualifications
- Maths and English GCSE (Grade 4/C and above) or equivalent.
- Solid standard of English and Maths, with experience supporting students in a school environment.
- Strong understanding of restorative and trauma‑informed practices, with the ability to promote positive behaviour and emotional wellbeing.
- Ability to monitor and record student progress, wellbeing, and engagement accurately and professionally, following organisational procedures.
- Motivated, enthusiastic, and team‑focused approach, committed to helping students achieve their full potential and supporting the wider school ethos.
- Valid driving licence.
