Join our Domestic Abuse Team as a dedicated, compassionate social worker focused on supporting children and families impacted by domestic abuse. Work collaboratively across sector partners and contribute to strategy, risk assessment, and specialist intervention programmes.
Responsibilities:
- Provide specialist input to support assessment, planning and intervention with families.
- Represent children’s social care in key forums such as daily risk meetings, MARAC and MAPPA.
- Contribute to strategy discussions and Section 47 enquiries, offering expertise in risk assessment, safety planning and risk management.
- Collaborate with multi‑agency partners—including children’s social care, health, education, police and voluntary/community organisations—to strengthen responses.
- Develop learning and training opportunities across the wider service and deliver specialist interventions such as the Caring Dads programme.
Qualifications:
- Minimum two years’ experience in a social worker role.
- Commitment to relationship‑based social work and an empowering approach to families.
- Experience working with or supporting domestic abuse victims and their families.
- Willingness to engage in continuous professional development and learn new practices.
