About the Role

Are you a highly organised bookkeeper who also enjoys providing administrative support? Our client, a well-established manufacturing business in Runcorn, is looking for a reliable and hands-on Stock Controller / Bookkeeper to join their close-knit team. This role is varied, with approximately 80% bookkeeping and 20% PA/admin tasks, giving you the opportunity to make a real impact across the business.

Key Responsibilities

  • Bookkeeping & Accounts (80%)
    • Maintain day-to-day bookkeeping using Sage (Line 50 / SIM-50)
    • Support the implementation of a new SIM-50 stock control system
    • Assist with stock control and margin calculations using Sage and Excel
    • Produce clear and accurate reports on efficiencies, profits, and waste
  • PA & Administration (20%)
    • Provide day-to-day support to the Managing Director
    • Manage diary, meetings, and correspondence
    • General office administration and document control

Skills & Experience

  • Strong working knowledge of Sage (Line 50 / SIM-50)
  • Experience with stock control
  • Previous bookkeeping experience
  • Excellent numerical and reporting skills
  • Highly organised, discreet, and able to work independently
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office (especially Excel)
  • Confident communicator with strong attention to detail
