They are now looking for a passionate and experienced Deputy Room Leader to support the day-to-day running of a room and help maintain the nursery’s high standards of care and education within a warm and welcoming environment.

Qualifications

  • Level 3 Early Years qualification

Essential Experience and Skills

  • Previous experience within a nursery or early years setting
  • Experience supporting or leading practice within a room

Desirable Experience and Skills

  • A genuine passion for early childhood development and high-quality early years education
  • A warm, nurturing, and enthusiastic approach
  • Strong communication and teamwork skills
  • Reliable, positive, and able to support and guide colleagues within the room

Key Responsibilities

  • Supporting the Room Leader with the day-to-day running of the room
  • Delivering high-quality care and early years education in line with EYFS
  • Helping to plan and implement engaging activities and learning experiences
  • Making full use of the nursery’s outdoor garden to enhance children’s development
  • Observing and tracking children’s progress and development
  • Building positive relationships with children, families, and colleagues
  • Supporting a safe, stimulating, and welcoming environment
  • Acting as a role model for best practice and supporting team members within the room
