Are you interested in planning and the development of our towns and villages? Do you want to be part of the team that helps to shape Stafford Borough? Do you want a varied job, working both from home and our offices, where no two days are the same? If the answer is yes to all of the above, we’re looking for a Planning Validation Officer to join our busy Development Management Team.
We need someone who is used to working with customers to provide support during the validation process for planning applications. Working with our Validation Criteria, you will be comfortable assessing a wide variety of information and be able to explain complex requirements such as fee calculations to customers to make sure their applications are complete.
To do this, you will be a confident user of Microsoft Office, relish the opportunity to take a flexible approach to work and enjoy problem solving. We will provide training, as required, for any successful candidate.
The successful applicant will be able to demonstrate excellent communication skills, have the ability to thrive as part of a team and be able to maintain customer focus at all times. It is essential that you have GCSEs in Maths and English Language, are enthusiastic to learn and develop and thrive on providing the best possible outcomes for our customers.
