About this job:
Please only apply if you have "the right to work in the UK" status. Your application will not be responded to if you do not have the correct status.
We are looking for motivated and enthusiastic fruit pickers that are willing to work hard to join our fruit teams on a temporary basis from June to October 2026. This role involves, but is not limited to:
- Picking Strawberries, Raspberries, Blackberries and Cherries
- Crop husbandry
- General farm worker duties
This position is full-time and is labour-intensive, including lifting and carrying fruit trays and is completed outdoors in all weathers. There are set quality standards when picking our fruit which must be met. Full training will be provided.
Daily productivity targets are set each day, and continued inability to meet that target may result in no further work being offered. Working in polytunnels can be hot and humid. You will need to bring your own refreshments and food to the field within allergen constraints; fresh water and welfare facilities are available in the field.
You will be paid according to how much you pick. We guarantee that you will achieve minimum wage for all hours that you work. Breaks will not be paid for, including those taken above the two 20-minute unpaid breaks given each day. Payments will be made into a bank account and there is no cash-in-hand alternative.
Some days, depending on the weather, your day may be required to start as early as 5.00am to avoid the heat inside the polytunnels. An earlier finish on these days will apply, so hours of work are variable depending on the weather but will generally be between the hours of 6.00am to 3.00pm, working 6 days Sunday to Saturday. One full day of rest will be given each week. This will vary on a week-by-week basis according to customer orders, weather and crop.
Our farm is remote, so you must have transport as we are not close to any public transport.
