Adult Social Care Solicitor needed in Stafford. Paying £310.36 per day, ref 5293674. Full time hours on a temporary basis.
Key Responsibilities:
- Advise on and have conduct of legal files relating to adult social care law, including matters under the Care Act 2014, mental capacity, deprivation of liberty, safeguarding and related judicial review work.
- Represent clients in court and at hearings, including the Court of Protection where appropriate.
- Attend meetings, hearings and site visits, including those held off-site and occasionally outside normal office hours.
- Provide clear, practical and legally robust advice to officers and members, demonstrating political awareness, sensitivity and discretion, including advising in public or formal forums where required.
- Prepare written advice, reports, pleadings, applications and other legal documents to a high standard.
- Support service development by mentoring, guiding and training less experienced colleagues.
- Deputise for senior lawyers as required and contribute to the effective running of the team.
- Work collaboratively with colleagues and clients to ensure legal risks are identified early and managed effectively.
