Ward A4 at Wythenshawe Hospital of Manchester University NHS Foundation Trust is a General Surgery ward with Medical Outliers, seeking experienced or newly qualified Registered Nurses to join the team. We are looking for proactive, forward‑thinking nurses with patient care at the core, strong communication skills, and a willingness to thrive in a fast‑paced environment.
As a Staff Nurse, you will:
- Assess, plan, evaluate and deliver all aspects of patient care in a caring, compassionate and sensitive manner.
- Work closely with a multi‑disciplinary team and contribute to the clinical governance process.
- Act as a mentor/pre‑ceptor to junior staff, with specific responsibility for pre‑registration students.
- Take delegated responsibility for the management of the clinical team and maintain high standards of quality patient care on a shift basis.
Training and development will be supported through the MFT Academy, LEAD training programmes, coaching, and department‑specific opportunities. The Trust also delivers a robust Nurse Revalidation Programme with an e‑portfolio and individual support.
Qualifications: Registered Nurse with experience or freshly qualified, having met required statutory registration and competency standards.
