An exciting opportunity has become available for a Staff Nurse/ Operating Department Practitioner to join and support our Peri-operative team. You will apply your clinical skills in theatre, supporting the team and ensure patient’s needs are met through delivering the highest quality care. As a Major Trauma Centre we have been equipped with state-of-the-art facilities in preparation for the expansion in our theatre service. We are looking for an enthusiastic candidate to join our expanding specialised team. You will need to be particularly committed to the key role of educating, empowering and supporting people in the theatre environment showing excellent clinical skills.
Responsibilities
- Support others in the development of knowledge, ideas and work practice
- To ensure that essential information on the patient’s condition and progress is recorded by self and team members appropriately according to NMC guidelines
- To maintain accurate records of resource use
- To support patients/carers encouraging them to promote their own health and wellbeing and to express their interests and concerns
- Actively support the team to ensure the effective running of the department
