Golborne Ward is looking for a Band 5 qualified nurse or newly qualified nurse who is enthusiastic, dynamic and passionate about the care they provide and wants to join the Golborne team. The ward provides care, assessment and treatment to predominantly older adults with either organic or functional illness.

Daily tasks include:

  • Attending and leading handovers
  • Medicines management
  • Care planning
  • Risk assessment
  • Attending and contributing to board rounds and multi-disciplinary team meetings
  • Supporting junior staff members on shift

Professional development, whether a preceptee or not, is a key priority. The postholder will engage in an appraisal to identify areas of interest and development and will be supported with further training whenever possible.
