Desian Education is seeking a highly skilled and motivated Level 3 Qualified Teaching Assistant to join one of our partner primary schools. This role requires an individual who can take on increased responsibility, supporting both the class teacher and the wider school community to ensure every child reaches their full potential. With an immediate start available, we are looking for a professional who can bring their expertise and energy to the classroom straight away.
Key Responsibilities
- Supporting the class teacher in the planning and delivery of the National Curriculum
- Leading small group interventions in Core subjects (Maths, English, and Phonics)
- Taking responsibility for individual pupil progress and maintaining accurate records
- Supporting the social, emotional, and physical well-being of all pupils
- Assisting with classroom displays and creating an engaging learning environment
- Providing 1:1 support for pupils with additional needs where required
Requirements
- Qualifications: You must hold a Level 3 Teaching Assistant qualification (e.g., Cache Level 3 or equivalent)
- Experience: Previous experience working within a primary school setting is essential
- Expertise: Deep understanding of the primary curriculum and a track record of supporting pupil attainment
- Reliability: A commitment to the school and the ability to start ASAP
- Safeguarding: A valid enhanced DBS on the Update Service (or a willingness to process a new one)
