We are currently looking for a dedicated and compassionate SEN Tutor to join our team in St Helens. This is an exciting opportunity to work with students who have Special Educational Needs (SEN), including Autism, ADHD, SEMH, and those working below expected levels. Key Responsibilities
- Deliver one-to-one GCSE Maths and English lessons tailored to the needs of SEN students.
- Adapt lessons to support emotional regulation and individual learning styles.
- Help students build confidence in their subject knowledge, improve study habits, and prepare for exams.
- Foster a safe, supportive, and consistent learning environment.
- Monitor student progress and provide feedback to parents/carers or professionals as needed.
Essential Requirements
- Minimum of 1 year of experience teaching or tutoring Maths or English.
- Experience working with SEN students in a one-to-one or small group setting.
- Right to work in the UK.
- Enhanced DBS check (or willingness to undertake one).
Desirable Qualifications
- PGCE in Secondary Education and/or Qualified Teacher Status (QTS).
- Experience with students with Autism, ADHD, or SEMH needs.
