The predicted salary is between 36000 - 60000 £ per year.
This job involves working in low secure services with individuals with a mental illness diagnosis. The job requires the creative approach of an Occupational Therapist who is able to build strong therapeutic relationships within clear boundaries, and to apply a good understanding of relational security to engaging and motivating service users.
The role involves supervising and supporting more junior members of staff. It is part of a well-established therapy team and there is a good level of support from within the team.
The role also involves use of meaningful activity to promote safe reintegration into the wider community and to reduce longer term risk. Meaningful activity is provided both on the ward, the wider site and within the community.
Provision of high quality supervision, guidance and support for junior OT staff and associated support staff. Contributing to a full review of OT provision and supporting senior leaders with the development of evidence-based OT pathways for a newly established ward within a well-established service. Contributing to the safe and effective running of the OT service including through service development.
We have a large therapies team and work closely to ensure that high quality care is provided across all members of the MDT.
