Salary: £31,258.88 - £37,441.48 per annum (Basic salary £25,007.10 - £29,953.18 per annum + 25% shift allowance)
Hours: 37.5 hours per week, rotating shift; Week 1: Monday – Friday 6am – 2pm, Week 2: Monday – Thursday 2pm - Midnight
We are currently recruiting for an experienced CNC Grinder to join a well established precision engineering business. This is a hands on role working to tight tolerances, producing high quality components for demanding industries.
Key Responsibilities
- Set, operate and adjust CNC grinding machines
- Read and interpret engineering drawings and specifications
- Work to tolerances and expected quality standards
- Carry out basic program edits and tooling adjustments
- Use manual measuring equipment (micrometers, bore gauges, plug gauges, etc.)
- Perform routine machine checks and basic maintenance
- Ensure all work is completed safely and to schedule
Qualifications
- Proven experience as a CNC Grinder within a precision engineering environment
- Strong understanding of grinding processes and tooling
- Ability to work from detailed engineering drawings
- High attention to detail and commitment to quality
- Experience with FANUC, Siemens or similar controls (advantageous)
- Apprenticeship or engineering qualification preferred but not essential
