Our client, a reputable automotive accident repair centre in Weston-super-Mare, is seeking an experienced SMART Repair Technician to join their well-established team. This is an excellent opportunity for a skilled professional looking to develop their career within a respected bodyshop group.

Duties of a SMART Repair Technician:
- Conduct all SMART repairs according to industry best practices and safety standards
- Interpret and effectively implement technical instruction data
- Use paint mixing schemes accurately and operate all relevant drying equipment
- Ensure all repairs meet quality and safety standards before vehicle handover
- Complete jobs within allocated repair and paint times
- Safeguard customer vehicles and contents while in the centre
- Ensure vehicles comply with safety standards upon completion
- Maintain high standards of housekeeping and workplace safety
- Communicate effectively with team members and management to meet targets and KPIs
- Seek clarification from the Centre Manager when work orders are unclear or require further instructions
Requirements:
- Previous experience as a Vehicle SMART Repair Technician in a workshop environment or mobile setting
- Alternatively, relevant transferable automotive accident repair experience, such as vehicle re-spraying and prep work
- Strong communication skills and a team-oriented approach
- Ability to work efficiently to targets and KPIs
- Commitment to high standards of workmanship and safety procedures
- Good understanding of health and safety regulations within a bodyshop environment
