Finlay Jude Associates are recruiting on behalf of a leading organisation within the utilities sector for Smart Meter Technicians. No prior experience is necessary – full training, equipment, and a company vehicle will be provided. This is an excellent opportunity for someone looking to start a long‑term career in the utilities sector. You’ll be working across the local water network installing and exchanging smart water meters and uploading data via a company‑issued tablet.

Key Responsibilities

  • Install and exchange smart water meters at customer properties
  • Upload data using provided tablet and software
  • Support the team on a variety of different projects and initiatives, including water network surveys and installations
  • Take responsibility for the successful delivery of small projects and packages of work
  • Work independently as a single‑person unit within urban/suburban environments

What We’re Looking For

  • A positive attitude and strong work ethic
  • Physically fit and able to work outdoors in varying weather conditions
  • A reasonably clean UK driving licence
  • Ability to work Monday to Friday, 40 hours per week
  • Must be located within commutable distance to Bath (accommodation not provided)
