Key Stage Teacher Supply are seeking an experienced and committed SEND Teacher to join a school in Skelmersdale, supporting pupils with additional needs to access learning and achieve their potential. This is a full‑time, long‑term position working within a specialist SEND provision. Requirements
- Qualified Teacher Status (QTS)
- Experience teaching pupils with SEND
- Strong understanding of differentiation and inclusive teaching strategies
- Experience supporting needs such as ASD, SEMH, MLD or complex needs
- Ability to plan and deliver personalised learning
- Strong classroom and behaviour management skills
- Commitment to safeguarding and promoting pupil wellbeing
- Enhanced DBS on the update service or willingness to apply
Responsibilities
- Plan and deliver differentiated lessons to meet individual needs
- Support pupils with a range of additional learning and behavioural needs
- Monitor, assess and track pupil progress
- Work closely with the SENCO and the wider support team
- Create a positive, structured and inclusive learning environment
- Support pupils’ academic, social and emotional development
