Due to the awarding of new frameworks and continued project work, our client, a well known and leading civil engineering and construction company is seeking to employ 2 Site Engineers (one being senior) to be based in North Wales, initially working on 2 x large railway footbridge schemes. We are seeking engineers that are ideally degree/HND qualified and that have previous experience of working on civil engineering schemes, ideally with some of that experience being within the rail industry.

Key Responsibilities

  • Lead on-site SHEQ compliance and promote a culture of safety
  • Review and interpret project drawings, specifications, and technical documentation
  • Carry out accurate setting out and surveying
  • Oversee engineering activities to ensure systematic, high-quality delivery
  • Supervise site operations including direct labour, plant, and subcontractors
  • Maintain accurate site records and daily diaries
  • Manage material take-offs and procurement
  • Plan and coordinate weekday and possession-based weekend/night works
  • Support the production and review of ITPs, WPPs, Task Briefs and other documentation
  • Provide day-to-day support and leadership to subcontractors and junior engineers
