We are looking for a Relief Security Officer to provide cover when core staff are unavailable, including during holidays and additional shifts. You will help maintain a safe and secure environment for patients, staff, and visitors across the hospital sites. The role involves patrolling, responding to incidents, and supporting the smooth running of the hospital.
Responsibilities
- Keep people safe: Maintain the safety and security of everyone on hospital grounds.
- Respond to incidents: Act quickly and professionally in emergencies and security situations.
- Patrol the site: Carry out regular internal and external patrols.
- Monitor CCTV: Assist with camera monitoring and control room duties.
- Prevent risks: Deter unauthorised access and other criminal activity.
- Support visitors: Provide help, information, and directions when needed.
- Manage conflict: Use trained techniques to calm and defuse difficult situations.
- Complete reports: Record incidents clearly and accurately.
- Work as part of a team: Cooperate with hospital staff, police, and other security teams.
Qualifications

- Willing to work 12‑hour shifts, including nights and weekends.
