At Supply Star Recruitment we are working with an award winning nursery chain in Shrewsbury who are looking for the perfect candidate to grow their team as Room Leader. You will oversee the daily operations of your designated room, ensuring a safe, engaging, and high-quality learning environment. You will lead a small team of practitioners, acting as a role model and mentor.
Key Responsibilities
- Lead and support a team of practitioners to deliver excellent childcare.
- Plan and implement a creative curriculum following EYFS.
- Maintain records including child observations and development reports.
- Build relationships with parents and carers through daily handovers and meetings.
- Ensure safety by following all health, safety, and safeguarding regulations.
Requirements
- Minimum Level 3 Early Years qualification (essential).
- Experience leading a team or as a senior practitioner is preferred.
- Communication skills that make collaborating with staff and parents easy.
- Paediatric First Aid certification (or willingness to obtain).
- English GCSE grade C/4+ (if qualified after Sept 2014).
- Enhanced DBS (or willing to obtain one).
Working Hours
Full time, Monday - Friday between 7.50am - 6.00pm.

All roles are subject to an Enhanced DBS (£63 if not on the update service) and two satisfactory references. You must have a clear enhanced DBS certificate to be considered for this role.
