We are recruiting a full-time Housekeeper to work within our friendly team on Ward 27. We look for an enthusiastic, reliable, hard-working housekeeper who will work as an integral part of the team ensuring a clean, safe and comfortable environment at all times.
You will need excellent interpersonal skills to liaise with and help patients throughout the working day, and communicate with all levels of staff both face to face and over the telephone. You will also maintain stock levels, participate in ordering, and keep a high level of cleanliness on the ward.
Applicants with previous experience in a health care setting are desirable, but you must demonstrate commitment to developing yourself to support the nursing team and ensure a positive patient experience. Excellent communication, organisational skills and the ability to work under non-direct supervision, prioritising your own workload, is required. A flexible approach and ability to respond appropriately to a changing workload are essential.
Recent experience in cleaning duties and use of chemicals and equipment is essential, along with an awareness of health and safety. IT literacy is required. Previous experience with stock control is desirable.
